PROTECT YOURSELF
People will find ways to make it seem like your decision making process needs to be about them.  In fact, when people do and say things that have a negative impact on your relationship, it is quite interesting to see how they respond to you confronting them.  Decisions have to be made in order to protect yourself.
::
BE PATIENT
In most cases, being the proverbial lone ranger is not ideal; it is just that finding methods to effectively communicate cannot be a one way exchange.  Finding people who are open to conversation around accountability for self and others is challenging.  Nonetheless, with enough courage, you can be patient and try to withstand backlash and develop the character to get through to people.  Still, it is not encouraged to stay in a situation that is belittling as a means to be heard.

CHANGE THE DYNAMIC
Dynamics in the way you interact with others will have to change providing that the results you expect are absent.  We all have the right to ensure our standard of life is upheld.  We also have the right to express ourselves in the hope that others will be open to listening.  However, others have the right to ignore our presentation.  It is at this moment that we need to see relationships for what they are. Even if you get a mediator, life after counseling must reflect the compromises made.

ENJOY LIFE
Communication is key and more than a cliché.  We can all learn how to better communicate.  Yet, the cost of your peace and sanity is not worth it.  You do not have to isolate and hurt yourself out of fear that your decisions will hurt people.  Life should be enjoyed.

REMEMBER YOURSELF
Today, forgive yourself, love yourself and protect yourself.  Let these words serve as a reminder that you deserve to be healthy and safe.
