Many people want to reference “a time when” in order to describe you as a particular person who fits their understanding about the world.  Critics sometimes fit this description.  Further, we have to be careful that our thoughts about certain people, places and things do not preoccupy our thinking and cause us to be fixated with the past.  Yesterday and/or yesterdays are filled with a lot of experiences and by extension information.

People endure not so good situations which shape little or much of their life.  Ultimately, among other things, we are comprised of a collection of emotions, feelings, interactions and thoughts.  Highlighting negativity is not the purpose of this meditation.  Instead, framing the past is the main purpose for writing about this very real aspect in life.  Memories have the potential to traumatize us; essentially causing a person to (ponder means to) relive the past.

Remaining focused on the present and practicing controlled breathing is a best practice that harnesses your control in every situation.  In turn, one is able to assess their immediate reality and develop an action plan to achieve very specific next steps using a concise and precise strategy.  Preparing to be responsible for your life, despite being negatively impacted by the past, is a sign of maturity.  In other words, growth is a realistic option for those who aspire to change their life for the better.

Complaining and murmuring feels good.  Nevertheless, we can empower ourselves by expressing gratitude.  Shifting your energy for the better is a skill set that can be employed when we realize our purpose for needing to live a life that is reflective of our ideals.  Life creates spaces where we can make a conscious decision to determine what course of action is in our best interest.  As much as hurt is very real, so is joy–and we have the power to embrace joy.

Today, a new series of challenges will arise.  Matters from the past may still be unresolved.  Getting closure is not always going to happen the way we desire.  However, the power of choice allows us to develop the capcity which creates a space for embracing your best self.  In turn, you can go from good to great.  When you focus on yourself and determine that your interests rightfully belong to you, the opinions of others become less insignificant in terms of (re)designing your life.
