KEEP CALM
It is very possible to keep calm amidst a lot of disagreeable and conflict-oriented people.  Negative self-talk is a major distraction for anyone when attempting to achieve a very specific goal.  In fact, while giving it your all to pursue your dreams, some people notice your efforts and immediately paint you as selfish.  One of the most unfortunate situations is when others prejudge you and try to fit you into a stereotype.

GIVE SELF ROOM TO GROW
Experiences that illustrate a lack of support from those who are supposed to be part of the team can cause someone to question their self.  Reexamining yourself over and over out of uncertainty caused by the negative feedback from others is detrimental to growth.  One must always give self room to grow–whether mistakes are made or not.  Further, even if zero people support you, there is still an opportunity to learn how to better communicate with persons who have a different view other than your perspective.

MAKE PROGRESS
Albeit self aware of our imperfection it is not what we want to convey when interacting with others.  We always want to make progress.  Despite feeling as though you could have done better in a particular instance, take that scenario and accept it as a past experience filled with lessons learned to become a better person.  Do not get down on yourself because you did not get the response you anticipated. Breathe and let go of the negative emotions.  There is more work to be done.  In the interim, give yourself a pat on the back for trying.
