SPEAK ABOUT THE TABOO
It is almost taboo to speak about individuals who left post-secondary institutions for economic success without a diploma or degree. This particular population that has achieved entrepreneurial excellence and that has thrived in various industries are sometimes left out of the conversations surroundoing the topic of professionals.  Earning a college diploma or university degree has many benefits.  In fact, much research has yet to be done in the area of individuals who have left post-secondary institutions for different pursuits and who have decided to return to academia to complete specific programs.

USE SOCIAL MEDIA
There is a well-rounded conversation that exists which explores professionals who have earned a degree or diploma and returned to post-secondary programs for upgrading.  However, less information is available on the subject of people who have done well for themself and  return to post-secondary programs to earn their first diploma or degree.  In an age where social media encourages transparency and the market place searches for top candidates via online resumes, it appears that conventional wisdom suggests having a post-secondary degree provides a competitive edge.

UNDERSTAND TRADITION
The newer conversation looks at how one leverages their vast entrepreneurial experience to compete in a job market which traditionally looks for post-secondary completion as an advantage for those applying for career opportunities.  The age of social media is also the epoch of the entrepreneur.  Albeit societies are built on the ingenuity of entrepreneurial pursuits, in today’s job market there is a clear divide between those who have post-secondary accolades and those who do not.

LEARN ABOUT TRENDS
It is interesting to see the proverbial tide turning, which illustrates entrepreneurs returning to academia; whereas many persons with academic laurels once left careers to pursue entrepreneurial ventures.  Although countless cases demonstrate both instances, less information exists on the former.

REDEFINE THE JOB MARKET
For example, how does one position their resume on LinkedIn without a post-secondary degree?  In fact, is this platform for professionals welcoming to those who are without a degree?  It is interesting to learn what best practices are available for individuals who seek to leverage social media without a post-secondary diploma/degree and desire to enter the market place via being hired by a top firm.

RETURN TO ACADEMIA
When we isolate the individual who was once in a post-secondary program and left said program to pursue entrepreneurial ventures, what best practices are available to said person who plans to navigate the job market while returning to academia?  It is very easy to obfuscate this niche conversation that fits the category of being a phenomenon.  Ultimately, anyone can achieve any goal they set out to achieve.  Still, it is interesting to hear more insights on this very specific occurrence.
